Berlin Review: Reizbar sports and sneaker party 4th April

Reizbar: I wasn't expecting much in the calm before the storm that is Easter weekend in Berlin. I had donned my "Snow" Nike TN 10s  and  suitable Adidas trakkies, and I arrived just shy of an hour after they opened their doors and was visitor number four. I know this because I had to have a number "4" marked on my arm with a marker pen, so I could be identified for the purposes of running a tab and checking my coat into the store.

Inside it was more lively than the "4" might have suggested. The staff were dressed according to the theme and there were obviously a number of guests who hadn't been treated to a number. There was a mix of ages, and not much effort on the sportswear front - more the kind of stuff you'd wear to a gym or on the street than what I would call serious sportswear fetish. There was even the obligatory pensioner in a pair of pants.

Playspace was nice - lots of sofas with coffee tables in front so you can put your feet up to show off your kicks. Some decent porn - although generic rather than sports/sneakers oriented. The bar area was small and it left me thinking that if the 110+ people who have signed up to the Recon sports event actually turn up it will be a long wait for a drink.

As the night progressed more people arrived - probably about 10 or 12 after me. There was some play going on - but you couldn't really see if it was vanilla or fetish oriented as it was behind closed doors. At 11.45pm I had decided that I wanted to explore Mutchmanns... but that's another report.
